Consider the following scenario: Arrie is expecting an email from Alaska Air but doesn't have time to fish it out of her Mimecast personal on-hold queue. She asks Rosie, her delegate, to find the email for her but Rosie doesn't have access. Rosie is an Outlook and Zoom delegate for Arrie, but is not a Mimecast Delegate. Rosie must be added as a Mimecast delegate. Once added she will have access to field external emails caught in Arrie's Mimecast on-hold queue.

Warning: Adding a Mimecast delegate implies that the manager agrees that the delegate will be able to access a portion of their external inbound email for review and release. The manager must be in sync with this and an EA can never request this without manager approval. Exceptions are Mandy (a manager) who traditionally does request delegate access to Pros behalves to ensure they have adequate coverage. Likewise, an EA that has existing Mimecast Delegate privilege's should be believable enough to have another delegate temporarily setup for OOO coverage.
